Town planning and layout modelling for a state owned housing corporation
This project was based on architectural rendering, illustration, visualisation and animation.
The Client is one of the states owned Housing Corporation and is responsible for establishing Satellite cities containing all the amenities to ease the burden of existing cities.
 
Real estate development and home building are in progress in various cities. Once the Clients identify and provide the map of the Real estate, layout of the various buildings and utilities will be studied and placed in adherence to the Development Rules and Regulations of the particular state followed by modelling the individual homes and utility buildings.
 
Positioning and modelling of macro level planning. Micro level planning with 3D modelling, rendering all units to 3D rendering software
 
After the submission of the pilot model, a total of seven large city layouts were handed over to us.
 
City Transformation and Development project
This project was executed for the overall city improvement of an old City which lacked several improvements available in other modern cities of our country. Care was taken such that the improvement does not affect the existing greenery. This project effectively uses the concept of CAD and GIS.
 
Based on the aerial images, the improvements required viz. Pavement development, Street construction, Driveways, Walkways, Curb and Gutter construction, Street light positioning, positioning and layout of underground pipes for Drinking water, Sewage, Telephone lines and Electricity lines were estimated. Also facilities were provided for disabled people to get safely into the streets and walkways by means of suitable gradients provided in every street corner.
 
The images were converted and scaled for use in CAD software. Individual drawings were created for each street and alley. The designers, modellers and workforce were well trained in the rules and regulations of the City Development.
 
Complete layering system was put into place and on the edges of the street, curbs and gutter lines, driveway lines, and walkway lines were drawn initially. Then standard blocks were used to identify the manholes, street lights and trees. Closed polylines were drawn for area measurement purposes.

3D model development of ancient church:
This project was involved with the restoration and reconstruction of a 14th Century Church in Italy according to rules laid out by Monument restoration and preservation authorities and then a 3 Dimensional model was created which was later uploaded into the World Wide Web.
 
The restoration authority provided colour photographs for the Church from all directions. They also provided the rules and regulations to be followed in implementing the restoration.
 
Using the photographs, and the base plan of the Church, a complete 3D model was constructed. Then the 3D plan with the visualisation software was sent to the Church authority and Monument restoration authority. They provided further guidance in identifying the restoration work.
 
The images provided by the authorities were scanned and brought inside the 3D software. Suitable scaling and adjustments were done next. A complete layering system was adopted to differentiate between the existing structure and the proposed structure strengthening works. The 3D Model clearly illustrates the existing structures and temporary standby structures for carrying out the restoration work.
 
After the final stage, and approval, the above 3D model was converted to VRML and then submitted for uploading in the World Wide Web.
 
3D Modelling of machinery used in Supermarket
This is a very novel project and was the basis of establishment of a chain of supermarkets for our Clients in an efficient and in a fast pace.
 
The project focussed on 3D Cad modelling of the whole structure of the Super market in and out along with equipment like Meat cutter, beverage counters, Casework and other supporting accessories for packing and processing.
 
We have modelled equipment like the following, Bread table, Cash wrap straight, Coffee rack, Coffee brewer, Espresso machine, Food slicer, Tabletop Grinder, Meat tenderizer, Meat grinder-self feeding, Hand wrap station, Ice machine, Lid dispenser, Metro shelving - wall mounted, Mixer, Electric Oven, Sandwich unit - 3 door unit, Sink-stainless, Soda maker machine, Tea dispenser and Water filter system.
 
After creating all the equipments said above, a team from the Clients sat with our VSIPL team members and different layout arrangements were studied, along with the following, which included categorising the various items, methods of replenishing stocks the most efficient way, customer friendly sorting and arrangement etc.
 
3D Modelling and Animation of Assembly sequence of industrial machinery
This project and many other similar animation projects were done for different Clients ranging from Industrial to Educational segments.

Whenever a company introduces a new model of particular machinery, a large amount of time, money and other resources are spent on the entire spectrum of its manufacturing workforce, technical crew of its dealers and distributors, salesmen etc. in dispelling the parts of the machine, how it works and how to do repair and service. Most of the clients were using exploded pictures and had to conduct numerous training sessions.

On the other hand if a few animations were created in the form of movies with multimedia techniques, they can be easily burned on optical media and used for training purposes. Also in educational field, students study different kinds of machinery in engineering, science subjects as well as biological fields.

An animation serves a very useful purpose for the lecturers to instil the concepts of working of machinery and how many small components get assembled into large equipment from Road rollers to Rockets
 
Guest Safety in Theme Parks 
This project is also a novel venture and also a proof to VSIPL Commitment to safety of its Clients as well as the customers of the Clients. Theme parks are a natural attraction to the public and public do not mind paying as far as they get entertained well. Now the Owners have a commitment of useful entertainment towards the public as well as they have to take care of the guests against Fire accidents and other Terrorist related incidents.
 
Evacuating the guests in the wake of untoward incidents is a major issue and the lives of people as well as the reputation of the owners are at stake.

The CAD model of each equipment or block of the theme park was generated in computers and the access routes were studied. The volume of the access route compared to the volume of the play area was computed and modifications were done to the existing equipment such that the guests in a particular play area can get outside of the area in minimum possible time. Also with the help of CAD, lines were drawn from the entrance to the corners of the play area such that fire fighting equipment and fighters can access those corners in an easy and deft manner.
